We will look at all the dimensions and senses that might go to build an act of worship – sight, touch, taste, hearing and voice, and even smell, to seek what works well and what might work better.
Words for Mission and Evangelism: Communication, Relationship and Change
A practical workshop for prayer leaders, proclaimers and preachers, exploring how words carry their meaning and power in the Gospel, worship, and life, and how the Word of God lives uniquely in a person and their voice.
What happens when we take time not just to carefully choose our scripts but also explore what the words ask of us in proclaiming them.
This will involve practical exercises as well as times of reflection and discussion.
Engaging the imagination in Church – Learning to Play (to Re-create) with God
How do we create mystery and wonder without fantasy? How do we enable the People of God to do the work of prayer and liturgy?
What does the “full, active and conscious participation” in prayer of all the people look like in our community?
Hope and vision are fruits of the imagination, without which the people perish. Can we learn to trust God and risk liberating people to the Freedom of the Baptized?

Understanding the role the supposedly “true” stories we learn in childhood have in directing – or misdirecting – our lives.
As we discover the stories we have accepted but are no longer true, we can better understand our actual life story and our relationships, and learn to write our own future.
